Talk Title: The plastic anatomy of the brain
Brain & Behaviour Seminar Series 2017-2018
Abstract: Exciting data, coming out of multiple labs, has made it clear that the brain changes with learning and experience at a scale detectable by MRI. It is not clear, however, how functionally specific and rapid those anatomical alterations are, nor how those changes link with the cellular and molecular events known to underlie brain plasticity at a microscopic scale. I will discuss the use of mouse models and high-field imaging to provide tentative evidence of the pathways underling MRI detectable structural brain plasticity.
